Privacy Notice

1. Controller and contact

Gol AI Ltd is the controller. Registered in England and Wales, Company No. 17274023. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. Privacy contact: privacy@golai.co.uk.

2. Data we collect directly

If you email us: your email address, your name if given, and your message content. Our own websites (golai.co.uk, including /shop/) require no account and collect no form data.

3. Purchase information received from Gumroad

Purchases are made through Gumroad, acting as merchant of record under its own privacy notice. From Gumroad we can access the buyer email address, product purchased, order date and amount, which we use for support, licence verification and accounting. We do not receive your full payment card details.

4. Purposes and lawful bases

Answering enquiries and providing support — legitimate interests, and steps at your request prior to a contract. Fulfilling and supporting purchases — performance of a contract. Keeping accounting records — legal obligation.

5. Our legitimate interests

Operating and administering the business, responding to correspondence, maintaining support and customer records, and protecting our products against misuse.

6. Recipients and processors

Namecheap Private Email (email hosting); Gumroad (store, payments, delivery); professional advisers and HMRC where legally required. We do not sell personal data or share it for third-party marketing.

7. International transfers

Namecheap and Gumroad may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum or UK adequacy decisions where applicable. You can obtain details of the relevant safeguard by writing to privacy@golai.co.uk.

8. Retention

• Enquiry and support correspondence: up to 24 months after the matter closes.
• Transaction and accounting records: 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year (legal requirement).
• Licence/watermark verification records: for the life of the product licence.

9. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, or erasure of your data, and portability of data you provided under contract or consent. Where we rely on legitimate interests you may also request restriction.

Right to object: you may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests by emailing privacy@golai.co.uk; we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds. Some rights (for example erasure of accounting records we must keep by law) are limited by legal obligations.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, ICO helpline 0303 123 1113.

11. Cookies and third-party shop services

golai.co.uk (including /shop/) sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The Gumroad store and checkout are operated by Gumroad and may set cookies under Gumroad's own cookie and privacy notices, which apply on those pages.
